John Cradock Ltd have recently completed a major infrastructural project in South Dublin on the new Clay Farm Development. The 100-meter long reinforced concrete bridge provides a vital spine through the Clay Farm Development. The bridge links both phases of the residential development.
We were approached by our client, John Cradock Ltd, to assist in the supply of Bridge Bearings. The reinforced concrete bridge is set to carry traffic safely and efficiently across both phases of the development, therefore bridge bearings were required to allow controlled movement.
We are a specialist in the supply of bespoke bridge bearings across Ireland and UK. Our technical team liaised with DBFL Consulting Engineers to design bespoke GUMBA Reinforced Elastomeric Bridge Bearings to EN 1337-3, resulting in a seamless supply and install.
Our design engineers, based in Germany, designed 14 Elastomeric Bearings for this critical infrastructural project.
John Cradock successfully landed 28 precast bridge beams onto our Elastomeric Bridge Bearings, enabling our system to allow for controlled structural movements, which will therefore reduce stresses in the structure.
